On 26 February 2011, MAS has launched its "I MAS Travel" competition for bloggers. Three winners will be awarded an all-expense-paid trips to two popular international holiday destinations and own a page on Yahoo! Travel, so each winner can share their holiday experiences through the website.
“First, register to become a MAStraveller member and then submit a travel related blog post. It can be an entirely new post, or it can be an old post from that exciting holiday you experienced last year. Basically we want your best work. At the same time, compile a one minute video introduction of your self and inform the judges why you deserve to win. Once you've made the submission, start promoting your entry to your friends and readers. This is important because how many 'likes' you achieve, will contribute to your overall score. Voting is just a click away at the Facebook 'like' buttons placed together with every submission on MAStraveller!” Said MAS Executive Vice President (communications) Raja Zamilia Raja Dato' Seri Mansur.
The competition runs from 26 February until 1 April 2011 and participants can register at www.mastraveller.com. To join the contest, each participant must be above 18 years old and Malaysian Resident.
The top 15 highest scorers will entitle into the finals and this will be annaunced on 6 April 2011. Then a Grand Final will be hosted on 13 April 2011 to crown the three winners of the contest. As I mention before, an all expenses paid trip to two world popular holiday destinations will be given away to each winner. The pairings of the prizes are Paris with Auckland, Cape Town with Seoul and Perth with Tokyo. On top of that, all winners will also undergo Yahoo editorial training session in Singapore, to hone their travel writing skills.

MAS also launched its MHbuddy on Facebook. The application which can be accessed from the new Malaysia Airlines Facebook page, allows Facebook's 500 million users to book and check-in for a flight while sharing their trip details with social network.
Developed with Malaysia Airlines by SITA Lab. SITA is the world's leading specialist in air transport communications and IT solutions.
Malaysia Airlines Executive Vice President Commercial Strategy, Dr. Amin Khan said : "With MHbuddy, customers who book a flight are reminded of their friends who live at the destination they are headed for. They are also prompted if any of their friends on the Facebook network are also planning to travel to the same destination. If they like, they can also share their itinerary with friends"
