I MAS Travel Competition

On 26 February 2011, MAS has launched its "I MAS Travel" competition for bloggers. Three winners will be awarded an all-expense-paid trips to two popular international holiday destinations and own a page on Yahoo! Travel, so each winner can share their holiday experiences through the website.

“First, register to become a MAStraveller member and then submit a travel related blog post. It can be an entirely new post, or it can be an old post from that exciting holiday you experienced last year. Basically we want your best work. At the same time, compile a one minute video introduction of your self and inform the judges why you deserve to win. Once you've made the submission, start promoting your entry to your friends and readers. This is important because how many 'likes' you achieve, will contribute to your overall score. Voting is just a click away at the Facebook 'like' buttons placed together with every submission on MAStraveller!” Said MAS Executive Vice President (communications) Raja Zamilia Raja Dato' Seri Mansur.

The competition runs from 26 February until 1 April 2011 and participants can register at www.mastraveller.com. To join the contest, each participant must be above 18 years old and Malaysian Resident.

The top 15 highest scorers will entitle into the finals and this will be annaunced on 6 April 2011. Then a Grand Final will be hosted on 13 April 2011 to crown the three winners of the contest. As I mention before, an all expenses paid trip to two world popular holiday destinations will be given away to each winner. The pairings of the prizes are Paris with Auckland, Cape Town with Seoul and Perth with Tokyo. On top of that, all winners will also undergo Yahoo editorial training session in Singapore, to hone their travel writing skills.

MAS also launched its MHbuddy on Facebook. The application which can be accessed from the new Malaysia Airlines Facebook page, allows Facebook's 500 million users to book and check-in for a flight while sharing their trip details with social network.

Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa (The Malay Chronicles: Bloodlines) ialah sebuah filem bersejarah Melayu arahan Yusry Abdul Halim yang diterbitkan oleh KRU Studios untuk pasaran antarabangsa dengan tujuan memperkenalkan sejarah dan kebudayaan Melayu kepada mata dunia. Filem epik ini jelas diadaptasi dari prosa Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa yang meriwayatkan sejarah terawal kerajaan Kedah.

Sinopsis
Pada tahun 120, Empayar Rom ketika itu dibawah pemerintahan Hadrian sementara di negara China, Dinasti Han merupakan sebuah empayar yang kuat dan telah memperluaskan pemerintahannya ke negara Asia Tengah. Semasa angkatan Rom sedang membaik pulih kapal mereka di Goa, mereka meminta pertolongan Merong Mahawangsa mengiringi Putera Rom ke Langkasuka (dikatakan terletak di utara Malaysia) untuk berkahwin dengan seorang Puteri China yang cantik dari Dinasti Han.

Bagaimanapun, puak lanun dari Garuda mempunyai perancangan yang berbeza. Mereka memutuskan untuk menculik Puteri China dan menjadikannya sebagai tebusan. Di hujung pengairan Selat Melaka, Merong Mahawangsa dan angkatannya diserang oleh Garuda. Maka, adalah tugas Merong Mahawangsa untuk menyelamatkan Puteri China dan menyatukan baginda dengan Putera Rom bagi sebuah perkahwinan yang menemukan dua tamadun besar dari negara Timur dan Barat.

Synopsis

In 2nd-Century Britain, two men – master and slave – venture beyond the edge of the known world on a dangerous and obsessive quest that will push them beyond the boundaries of loyalty and betrayal, friendship and hatred, deceit and heroism…The Roman epic adventure The Eagle is directed by Kevin Macdonald and produced by Duncan Kenworthy. Jeremy Brock has adapted the screenplay from Rosemary Sutcliff’s classic novel The Eagle of the Ninth.

In 140 AD, the Roman Empire extends all the way to Britain – though its grasp is incomplete, as the rebellious tribes of Caledonia (today’s Scotland) hold sway in the far North. Marcus Aquila (Channing Tatum) arrives in Britain, determined to restore the tarnished reputation of his father, Flavius Aquila. It was 20 years earlier that Rome’s 5,000-strong Ninth Legion, under the command of Flavius and carrying their golden emblem, the Eagle of the Ninth, marched north into Caledonia. They never returned; Legion and Eagle simply vanished into the mists. Angered, the Roman Emperor Hadrian ordered the building of a wall to seal off the territory; Hadrian’s Wall became the northernmost frontier of the Roman Empire – the edge of the known world.

Driven to become a brilliant soldier and now given command of a small fort in the southwest, Marcus bravely leads his troops during a siege. Commended by Rome for his bravery, yet discharged from the army because of his severe wounds, Marcus convalesces, demoralized, in the villa of his Uncle Aquila (Donald Sutherland), a retired army man. When Marcus impulsively gets a young Briton’s life spared at a gladiatorial contest, Aquila buys the Briton, Esca (Jamie Bell), to be Marcus’ slave. Marcus is dismissive of Esca, who harbors a seething hatred of all things Roman. Yet Esca vows to serve the man who has saved his life.

Hearing a rumor that the Eagle has been seen in a tribal temple in the far north, Marcus is galvanized into action, and sets off with Esca across Hadrian’s Wall. But the highlands of Caledonia are a vast and savage wilderness, and Marcus must rely on his slave to navigate the region. When they encounter ex-Roman soldier Guern (Mark Strong), Marcus realizes that the mystery of his father’s disappearance may well be linked to the secret of his own slave’s identity and loyalty – a secret all the more pressing when the two come face-to-face with the warriors of the fearsome Seal Prince (Tahar Rahim).

My Comment

I went to see this movie for review yesterday and I enjoyed it very much. It has a good storyline. Honestly I'm just saying it is a good movie even I'm not really understand the story at the begining :) Awesome and great acting by Channing Tatum(Marcus) and Jamie Bell(Esca). I like the actors and the action was nice as well. This movie will be in Malaysia cinema soon. Make sure you dont miss to see The Eagle.

Beastly Movie Review

Yesterday I got 2 free tickets for Beastly Special Screening from nuffnang.

Awesome movie!!!

The film is written and directed by Daniel Barnz. The movie seem like "Beauty and the Beast" story. Modern version, maybe... ;) Is about a teenager who is transformed into the beast in order to find true love.

Kyle in the movie has everything he wants. Popularity, good looks and a rich farther. Just one thing is he not respects others especially his classmate who is a witch in disguise, during an environmental event. The witch then casts a spell on Kyle and physically transforms him into a beast (ugly). Kyle has only 1 year to find true love if he wants to get back normal. Best ending story when finally he found it. For full story, just see the movie :-P

This movie teach me how important to respect each other. Dont care who ever they are.

If someone loves you she/he loves you for what inside and not what she/he see on the outside. Love is never ugly.

Bagi aku perasaan cinta tu datang daripada hati. Perasaan cinta tidak boleh dipaksa. Ia datang dan hilang begitu sahaja. Perasaan cinta membuatkan aku lupa untuk menilai baik & buruk sesuatu. Kadang2 perasaan cinta membuatkan aku belajar untuk menjadi seorang yang berguna.

Cinta kepada Tuhan
Cinta yang diberkati adalah cinta yg sempurna. Hanya Tuhan yang berkuasa untuk memberi dan mengambil semula cinta pada setiap orang. Aku sememangnya bersyukur kerana aku masih ada perasaan cinta yang mendalam. Dan cinta yang datang daripada Nya itu adalah cinta yang sangat2 indah. Sebab itu aku mencintai Tuhan lebih dari segala2.

Cinta kepada keluarga
Tuhan tetapkan cinta yang kekal di dalam hatiku. Perasaan cinta ini sudah ada sejak aku mula bernafas di dunia ini. Cinta yang aku maksudkan adalah cinta kepada keluargaku. Apa pun halangan, aku tetap mencintai keluarga aku sampai bila2.

Hidup ini tidak sempurna tanpa orang lain. Bagi aku, hubungan persahabatan perlu untuk meneruskan perjalanan hidup di dunia yang serbah mencabar ini. Mereka umpama penyelamat yang sentiasa ada di waktu aku terjatuh dan bersedih. Sebab itu aku sangat mencintai sahabatku.

Malangnya, tidak semua sahabat boleh dipercayai. Namum Tuhan itu baik. Dia menghantar seseorang yang lebih memahami diri ini dan sanggup menerima aku seadanya. Itulah teman hidup yang sangat2 aku cintai. Walaupun aku hidup serbah kekurangan dan tidak setanding orang lain, namun dia sentiasa mengerti dan percaya aku masih ada kelebihan lain. Terima kasih banyak2. Aku pasti menjaga cinta ini kerana ini adalah cinta yang terakhir dan untuk selama-lamanya. Hidup aku berubah selepas aku menemukan cinta ini. Aku mula memahami erti kehidupan sebenar. Dan alangkah gembira, sekiranya aku menemukan cinta ini daripada awal. Apa yang membuatkan aku berani meneruskan perjalanan hidup, kerana aku yakin akan kemampuanku sendiri. Walaupun kadang2 aku berasa ragu2, tapi kerana aku masih punya keluarga, teman hidup, sahabat dan yang paling penting perlindungan daripada Nya, so aku berani untuk melangkah ke hadapan. Namun keberanian itu datang daripada diri aku sendiri. Terima kasih kepada diri aku sendiri kerana atas keyakinan sendiri lah, aku masih terus berusaha. :) Aku patut mencintai diri aku, kalau tidak bagaimana aku mampu mencintai yang lain?

Cinta kepada pekerjaan & harta benda
Aku juga mencintai pekerjaan & harta benda yang kumiliki walaupun tidak sebesar manapun. Sekurang-kurangnya aku masih boleh bergembira, makan makanan kegemaranku, beli pakaian yang lebih sesuai, bercuti untuk release tention dan macam2 :)

Cuba bayangkan kalau kita tiada perasaan cinta. Macamana tu??? Aku harap hargailah saat selagi cinta itu ada. Dan sekiranya cinta itu hilang, jangan sekali2 mencuri cinta daripada orang lain. Kerana cinta yang dicuri akan menjadi benci. Awas tu!! Cinta yang pergi, biarlah ia pergi sebab cinta yang baru akan datang dan pastinya itu adalah cinta yang paling best.

Dan aku sangat menghargai cinta yang kumiliki sekarang kerana cinta yang kumiliki sekarang tidak sama dengan mana2 cinta yang pernah ada. Cinta yang ikhlas memberi seribu satu makna dan ianya akan kekal sampai bila2.
